Multi-page documents receive lower per-page rates. Czechia is a party to the Hague Apostille Convention — if your document carries an apostille, we translate it too.
Every certified translation includes: complete translation of text, stamps, and annotations; names with diacritics and feminine surname forms exactly as written; the rodné číslo reproduced exactly; the signed Translation Accuracy Certificate; 24-hour delivery for most 1–2 page documents; and the USCIS acceptance guarantee.
→ USCIS certified translation → Birth certificate translation → Apostille translation
Native Czech translators. Your project goes to a native speaker of Czech, matched to your subject — legal, medical, technical, or personal documents.
Names exactly as written — including -ová. Czech women's surnames take a feminine form (Novák → Nováková). We reproduce every name exactly as on the document, keep the diacritics (Dvořák, not Dvorak), and on request note your passport spelling or explain the surname form for USCIS.
The rodné číslo, untouched. The Czech birth number encodes the date of birth — and adds 50 to the month for women. We reproduce it exactly, never "correct" it.
Czech, not Slovak. The languages are close but separate. Czechoslovak documents from before 1993 may be in either; we assign a translator for the language on the page.
Any format, including scans and photos. For certified documents, a clear scan or phone photo is enough. We translate every stamp, seal, and handwritten note.
Czech Americans and Canadians often need their records accepted in Czechia — to acquire Czech citizenship by declaration as a former Czech or Czechoslovak citizen or a qualifying descendant (dual citizenship has been allowed since 2014), to register a birth or marriage at the Special Registry in Brno (Zvláštní matrika), to inherit or buy property, or to move to Czechia.
We translate birth, marriage, divorce, death, and naturalization certificates, name change documents, powers of attorney, court orders, and company documents into Czech.
Before you order: for official use in Czechia, translations are generally made by a court translator (soudní překladatel) registered with the Czech Ministry of Justice, and the original usually needs an apostille. Requirements vary by office — confirm with the embassy, consulate, or office handling your case, and we'll prepare the translation to fit.
Millions of Americans have roots in Bohemia and Moravia, and many Czech parish registers (matriky) are now digitized by regional archives. The challenge is reading them. Depending on the period and parish, records are written in:
We translate baptisms, marriages, deaths, house and land records, emigration and passenger records, and family letters — including handwritten entries — for family research, citizenship, and inheritance. Send a clear scan or the archive link, and we'll quote based on length and legibility.

Did you know? The English word robot comes from Czech — it was introduced in Karel Čapek's 1920 play R.U.R. Pistol traces back to the Czech píšťala, and dollar comes from the thaler, a silver coin first minted in Jáchymov (Joachimsthal) in Bohemia.
Native Czech translators. Every translator is a native speaker, matched to your subject.
Checked before delivery. A reviewer compares the translation with the source; human-maintained glossaries keep terminology consistent. (For high-volume content, ask about our separate machine translation post-editing service — never used for certified documents.)
Fast when you need it. Most certified documents within 24 hours; you set the deadline for larger projects.
Clear prices. Per-page rates for certified documents and per-word rates for everything else, shown above.
Confidential. Your documents are never shared.
