ATA-Certified Translator: Certified Translation Sample

Certificate sample

Home > Services > Certified Translation Services > ATA Translation Certificate Sample >

This sample shows a Polish birth certificate (abridged transcript) translated into English and certified by an ATA-certified translator. The American Translators Association certifies translators for one language pair and direction after a three-hour exam. Certified translators may add CT after their name and use the ATA seal.

What the sample shows:

  • A full English translation, with stamps, seals and signatures described in brackets
  • The translator’s affidavit of accuracy, stating their ATA membership and certification from Polish into English
  • The ATA Certified Translator seal with the translator’s name and language pair
  • Directions for checking the translator’s certification on the ATA website
  • The translator’s signature, contact details and date

USCIS does not require ATA certification, but some courts, state agencies, universities and companies ask for an ATA-certified translator. Say so in your order instructions and we will assign one for your language pair, subject to availability.
