What is Technical Translation?

Technical translation refers to the process of translating specialized content that requires a high level of expertise in both the subject matter and the language involved. This includes texts related to technology, engineering, science, and other industries that deal with complex, technical language. Unlike general translation, technical translation demands precise and terminologically consistent translations that not only convey the correct meaning but also meet the high standards expected in the relevant fields.

Safety-critical instructions: A maintenance procedure that specifies the wrong torque value, a safety interlock described with the wrong sequence, or a chemical hazard class mistranslated — each of these has direct workplace safety consequences.
